Val just finished her second year as a graduate student in the clinical science doctoral program in the University of Michigan’s Department of Psychology. Val graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in community organizing from the University of Michigan in 2014 where she studied and worked clinically with high-risk mothers and their preschool-aged children. Upon graduation, she spent two years in a research lab in U of M’s Department of Psychiatry working on multiple research studies focusing on bipolar disorder and depression. Val’s clinical and research interests include anxiety and depressive disorders in children and adolescents. She is currently providing psychotherapy and neuropsychological testing services to children and families at the University Center for the Child and Family in Ann Arbor.
