Thriving Minds specializes in Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a brief, time-limited, and effective psychological treatment focusing on identifying problematic thoughts and behaviors and learning new coping strategies to empower children, adolescents, and parents to learn a new way of reacting.

  • We are committed to helping children overcome anxiety, behavioral issues, learning differences and more through learning new coping strategies.

  • We work closely with parents and schools to provide well-rounded services.

  • We use fun, engaging, and active Behavioral and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy models to enhance the lives of children and their families.

  • At Thriving Minds, we provide high-quality services that match our therapists' training and expertise. We expect excellence from our therapists in their areas of competence while recognizing that in order to do some things well, we cannot specialize in everything.

Areas of Specialty

We Are Not Right For Everyone

We are not trained to see the following types of cases and will happily provide you with referrals: eating disorders or ARFID, pediatric bipolar disorder, delusional disorders such as schizophrenia, substance abuse/addiction concerns, personality disorders, court mandated therapy, patients with parents engaged in a high conflict divorce and youth engaged in behaviors that involve the legal system. In addition, Thriving Minds may not be the "right" next stop if your child has been hospitalized for mental health disorders within the past 6 months, as we do not have on-call services or medical physicians on staff for emergencies.

If, during the intake session we determine that we are not the appropriate practice for you, we will make referrals to outside providers.
