Kowsar A. Hijazi, PsyD

Kowsar has a strong interest in supporting children and adolescents who are navigating sleep difficulties, trauma, mood disorders, behavioral challenges, and emotional regulation issues. She takes a collaborative approach, working closely with both the child and their family. Her work is grounded in evidence-based practices and tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual. Kowsar utilizes an integrative approach to treatment that consists of CBT, family systems theory, and attachment theory. She genuinely enjoys working with youth and is dedicated to assisting them on their journey of healing. Her purpose is to provide a supportive, empowering, and judgment-free space where young clients can share their stories and explore ways to address their concerns, fears, and uncertainties. She is committed to helping each child identify and build on their own strengths to navigate challenges and life’s circumstances with greater confidence and resilience.

Experience and Training: Kowsar graduated with her PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Midwestern University in 2025. She completed her residency training at Parkview Behavioral Health. Kowsar previously received her MA in Clinical Psychology from The Michigan School of Psychology in 2018. She was credentialed as a Temporary Limited Licensed Psychologist between 2018 and 2022. Kowsar has worked in private practice, group practice, primary care, hospital, community mental health, and academic settings.
More about Me: Kowsar is an Arab American and a native Michigander. She enjoys spending time with her family, creating art projects, and learning different languages.
