Dr. O’Connor-Szuma implements an integrative and holistic approach to treatment that is tailored to each client’s unique needs, strengths, and goals. Dr. O’Connor-Szuma uses humor, compassion, and a friendly approach to build professional relationships with her clients to facilitate growth and change. She enjoys working with a youth and their families along with celebrating their victories over the course of treatment.

Experience and Training:

Dr. O’Connor-Szuma graduated with her doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Detroit Mercy. She has worked with children, adolescents, and their families in a variety of settings including outpatient clinics, inpatient/residential facilities, and health psychology settings. She has experience working with diverse populations and extensive experience in individual, family, and group therapies along with parent management training and psychoeducational workshops for professionals and other members of the community.

More about Me:

Dr. O’Connor-Szuma recently moved back to Michigan with her husband and three boys. She enjoys reading, traveling, and trying new restaurants. On Sundays in the fall, you will find her cheering on Dan Campbell and the Lions at Ford Field.
