Roberto works to create a nonjudgmental environment where children and parents feel comfortable being themselves. He values collaboration with parents, schools, and other care providers to help children thrive across settings.

Experience and Training:
Roberto is a doctoral student in Clinical Psychology at Wayne State University, where he also has a minor in Statistics. He earned his B.A. in Psychology with Honors from San Diego State University. His clinical training has included psychotherapy and psychological assessment with children, as well as DBT skills training. He has experience administering a range of cognitive, academic, executive functioning, and psychological measures and completing comprehensive psychological evaluations. Roberto also previously participated in Thriving Minds’ Confident Kids Camp, where he provided intensive evidence-based intervention for a child with selective mutism.
More about Me:
Roberto was born and raised in San Diego. Outside of work, he enjoys yoga, watching NBA basketball, and cheering for the San Antonio Spurs. He is also a big Lord of the Rings fan, enjoys video games, and loves cooking Mexican food with his mother over FaceTime.
