Title: Limited-Licensed Psychology Intern

Location: Brighton, Chelsea

Approach to Treatment: Betty approaches children, adolescents, and their caregivers with compassion, humor, and kindness to address the challenges they are facing. She uses cognitive behavioral therapy to provide skills to children and their parents, working with them to gain confidence in managing their difficulties. Betty works individually with children and incorporates their caregivers to ensure that a family-friendly and comprehensive approach is being used. Betty looks forward to providing insight into how families can move forward in healthy and effective ways, living values-driven lives.

  • Betty implements evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), Parent Management Training (PMT), and psychoeducational testing. Betty may also incorporate techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT) when appropriate.

  • Age Range: Children and Adolescents ages 3-18. 

Experience and Training: Betty will be graduating with her doctorate in School Psychology from the University of Florida in August 2024. She earned her M.Ed. in School Psychology in 2021.

More about Me: Betty is originally from New Jersey but has completed her undergraduate and graduate coursework in Florida. She is excited to experience seasons again and enjoys hiking, partaking in a book club, and spending time with friends and family.
